A Physical Gathering
The Songwriting Sanctuary
Monthly. Austin, TX. A zero-cynicism room where unfinished work is not only welcome — it's the whole point.
We invite the brave to share what's unfinished.
Most creative spaces reward polish. The Songwriting Sanctuary rewards courage. You bring a voice memo, a half-written lyric, a chord progression that won't resolve — and the room meets you there.
Benjamin facilitates. Guest mentors rotate in. The only rule is that you show up as you are, not as you wish you were. What emerges from that kind of honesty is consistently extraordinary.
This isn't a workshop. It's a practice. And it's built on the same principles that inform everything Benjamin does — clearing the internal noise so the real signal can come through.
How the Room Works
The Rule
Zero Cynicism.
There is no space for the inner critic here. We operate on positive reinforcement and structural, expert feedback — nothing else.
The Process
Share. Receive. Finish.
You bring a vulnerable, unfinished piece. Benjamin and rotating guest mentors provide direct, live facilitation. You learn to silence resistance through community and repetition.
The Logistics
Monthly in ATX.
Bring one song in progress, a notebook, and your instrument. The room handles everything else.
Support the Room
Keep the Sanctuary alive.
The Songwriting Sanctuary runs on community support. For $15 a month, you get a seat in the room, early access to everything being made, and the knowledge that you're directly fuelling a space where real creative courage is practised.
Looking for something deeper? Private 1:1 work is available for those ready to go all the way.
